On Dec. 3 1992, a young British Engineer sent the first text message from his computer to his boss's phone reading "Merry Christmas". Since that day communication has never been the same. What would have been considered ridiculous at that time is now commonplace. However, new studies have shown that people are now less inclined to actually talk to each other and prefer to text instead.
