Say Goodbye to Taiwanese English: Etiquette 向台式英文說再見：禮儀
Having spent most of my life in Asia and now 10 years in Taiwan, I find the Taiwanese people in general to be exceptionally polite, courteous and respectful. That is not to say that sometimes a miscommunication error can come off as being unintentionally rude, inconsiderate or at the least a little insensitive when speaking to foreigners.
So let's take a glimpse at a few common, but much known about taboos and how they can be easily corrected.
A: I just got married last year.
B: Congratulations! When will you have a baby?
