英文履歷常用單字
1. Absorbed 吸收;緩解

2. Advanced 進步;提升

3. Allocated 分配

儘管很多國外網站都有提供範本(template)甚至是「代寫器」(resume/CV builder),讓你填完關鍵資訊後,自動生成漂亮的英文履歷。這樣的履歷過得了機器篩選這一關,卻無法打動真實的人資主管。
對方要的英文履歷,是 résumé 還是 CV?
要談「英文履歷」,首先當然要搞清楚對方要的是“résumé”還是“CV”(curriculum vitae)。
簡單說,résumé就像是廣告傳單,一頁簡明扼要的「自我推銷」,就能讓對方了解,你有什麼能力、經驗,為什麼他們公司需要你這個人。
CV則是各國要求不同,但不變的是重視應徵者的學術成就(背景),專業經驗,以及得過什麼獎項(或成就)。若是在美國求職,除非你要應徵教職或醫療領域職位,不然很少會要CV,多半只要résumé就好。
但歐陸或日韓等國,則多半期待應徵者能給出一份「像CV的résumé」。
「像CV的résumé」這句話聽起來有點矛盾,但原則就是「長話短說」,求職者的專業學歷、證明、工作經驗,如果一頁交代不完,最好也別拖到3〜4頁。
另外,因為各國法律不同,美國不會要求應徵者提供太多個資,包括出生年月日、出生地、性別、年齡等等。但其他國家就不一樣了,有的可能會期望你「鉅細靡遺」地交代清楚。(可參考此文章:What to include in a CV - an international guide)
