我大半輩子都待在亞洲，而且在台灣一住就是10年。我發現，台灣人普遍而言非常禮貌、周到，而且尊重他人。不過，這並不表示一些溝通不良的錯誤就可以被忽視，對外國人而言，這仍然顯示出無心的粗魯、不體貼或是感覺遲鈍。

Having spent most of my life in Asia and now 10 years in Taiwan, I find the Taiwanese people in general to be exceptionally polite, courteous and respectful. That is not to say that sometimes a miscommunication error can come off as being unintentionally rude, inconsiderate or at the least a little insensitive when speaking to foreigners.
