Richard has been visiting Taiwan for a trade show. He is talking to Jasmine who has been working as his translator.
理查為了參加貿易展而前來台灣。他正在跟他的翻譯茉莉閒聊。

Richard: Wow! What a successful trade show. We've shifted 150 units in three days. Cheers for all your help, Jasmine.
理查：哇！這次貿易展很成功，3天內我們賣出150套商品。多虧妳的幫忙了，茉莉。

Jasmine: Don't be silly. It's been a great chance for me to network with people in the industry.
茉莉：你太客氣了。我覺得這是個很棒的機會去認識業界的朋友。

Richard: We need to celebrate. What do people do in this town to let their hair down? I want to
kick back and party.
理查：我們來慶祝吧。這裡的人都怎麼放鬆呢？我想好好休息後，再來場party狂歡一下。

Jasmine: Taipei's got a great club scene. Me and my friends love to dance. We usually head down to Luxy at the weekends.
茉莉：台北有很多不錯的俱樂部。我和朋友都很喜歡跳舞，常常在週末跑去Luxy。

Richard: What's that – a nightclub?
理查：那是……一間夜店？

Jasmine: Yeah. It's massive, with two different dance floors. All the top international DJs play
there. I've got a VIP pass, so I can get in for free.
茉莉：是啊。這間店很大，有2層樓空間可以跳舞，還有很多國際知名DJ。我有貴賓卡，可以免費入場。

Richard: Hmmm. I'm a bit old for techno music and clubbing. I'm not sure it's really my scene.
理查：嗯……。我去夜店聽電子音樂跳舞，好像年紀大了點，我不確定這是我喜歡的類型。

Jasmine: What kind of music are you into? Reggae? Hip hop? Rock?
茉莉：那你對什麼音樂有興趣？雷鬼？嘻哈？搖滾？

Richard: Call me old fashioned, but there's nothing I like better than some cool jazz.
理查：妳可以說我落伍啦，但我超愛爵士樂。

Jasmine: Oh, I know the perfect place. We need to go to Brown Sugar. It's synonymous with jazz in Taipei. The house band also play blues, funk, R&B and Latin music.
茉莉：我知道一個很棒的地方，我們可以去Brown Sugar。它可以說是台北爵士樂的代名詞，現場樂團演奏的音樂包括藍調、放克、節奏藍調跟拉丁。

Richard: Hmm, my kind of place.
理查：聽起來像是屬於我的地方。

Jasmine: It's packed every night. The place is really jumping!
茉莉：這間店每晚都非常擁擠，生意超好！

Richard: OK – but what about dinner? I've got to get something down me before I start mixing it up on the dance floor.
理查：OK，但是晚餐要吃什麼呢？在我準備好好放鬆跳舞前，我需要先吃點東西墊肚子。

Jasmine: We can eat there if you like. I've heard it has great cuisine.
茉莉：如果你喜歡，我們可以在那邊用餐，聽說餐點很不錯。

Richard: Sounds like a plan. Let's roll!
