Joe is talking to Beth, his colleague from the UK who is working in Taiwan. They are talking about their weekend plans.

Beth: Taipei's great, but I'd really like to get out of the urban jungle this weekend and soothe my soul.

Joe: Well, if you want to see some panoramic views, why not check out the Maokong
Gondola?
喬：嗯，如果妳想飽覽自然景色，為何不考慮去搭貓空纜車？
Beth: Oh yeah, I've heard about that. It's the cable car system that goes to a famous tea growing area, right?
貝絲：喔，我聽過那個。搭這個纜車可以直達一片有名的茶園，對吧？
Joe: Yeah. The scenery's spectacular, and when you get to Maokong, you can sample
some of the quality teas they grow there.

Beth: Right. How do I get there?

Joe: It's easy – it's on the MRT. Just go to Taipei Zoo station. The gondola station is just nearby.

Beth: OK. I've also heard there are hot springs near Taipei. Can I get to them on public transport as well?

Joe: Yeah, you just take the MRT to Xinbeitou. You'll find a lot of hot spring resorts there.

Beth: Great! Is it the custom to wear swimwear in the hot springs here in Taiwan?
貝絲：太好了！按台灣的習慣，必須穿泳衣泡溫泉嗎？
Joe: You need to in most of the outdoor ones, which are mixed. But there are some
traditional Japanese springs where you have to go in naked, so do check.
喬：只有在戶外的大眾型溫泉池需要，因為這種池是男女混浴。但有些傳統的日式溫泉要求裸體入池，所以要事先詢問。
Beth: I will.
貝絲：我會注意的。
Joe: When you've finished cleansing yourself, you should also visit the geothermal park and see the warm swirling mists.
喬：泡完後，妳還可以到地熱谷公園走走，好好觀賞熱氣瀰漫的景色。
Beth: Wow! That sounds amazing.
貝絲：哇！聽起來很不錯。
Joe: Then, for some history, head down to the Hot Spring Museum. It's in a beautifully restored public bathhouse building. It's a definite must-see while you're there!
